Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is the simplest and most cost effective of all assisted fertilization solutions.
Doctors will inject the washed and concentrated sperm inside the female’s vagina near the uterus. And the process will be conducted while the ovary is releasing eggs. The treatment is often accompanied by special diet. Ovulation drugs will also be used if appropriate to further enhance the pregnancy rate.
Under most circumstances, the sperm will come from the female’s husband or partner. However, it can also come from a sperm bank or donor if situation requires.
