Advanced maternal age is defined as maternal age of 34 or greater or at the time of delivery. It is known that the fertility ability will decline at this age range. And female who are pregnant at this age may face higher risks comparing to younger female.
During the course of pregnancy, advanced aged pregnant women are more likely to have gestational diabetes mellitus, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia, proteinuria, in comparison to young pregnant female.
